Western Suburbs Leagues Club (Wests) was first opened on Saturday 24 September 1960 and the Executive Inn was built by Wests and opened on 13 September 1990.

In May 2001 Wests merged with Club Phoenix, renaming it Phoenix Sports in the process. Wests have been the Naming Rights Sponsor for the Wests Cycle Classic since 1996.
