There are many events and activities that the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service

Holds and manages to raise funds and awareness of the Service within the wider community. Many people volunteer their time; donate prizes, products and services to these events and some choose to hold their own events.

If you are thinking about holding a fundraising event then you should speak to a member of our Marketing team.

Once the idea is developed, an “Authority to Fundraise” application from will need to be completed and once approved you will receive a letter from the Service that authorises you to raise money under certain conditions.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service operates its fundraising activities under the auspices of the NSW Department of Gaming and Racing, Office of Charities www.dgr.nsw.gov.au/charitable_info.asp  It is registered with the Department and has a “Community Fundraising Authorization” CFN 11992. As such all its fundraising activities must comply with the legislation and guidelines developed by the Office.
