The Rescue Helicopter has more than 400 registered volunteers organised in local Support Groups in towns and communities across the region. Our volunteers are identifiable by their distinctive red shirts when they are representing the Service. Collectively our Volunteer Support Groups raise more than $500,000 for the Service each year. This money is raised through a great variety of fun events such as golf days, cycle tours, Harley rides, duck races, horse rides, balls, raffles, bowls days . . . the list is long.
